Annette Burgess - Anatomy Tutor

‘Your anatomy is complicated, learning anatomy doesn’t have to be’ - David Kiel

I come from a varied and diverse work background, one of them being Complementary Therapies and one of the prerequisites for the therapies that I practised was an understanding of and qualification in Anatomy. This continues to help me understand how the body works when doing yoga practice; about 20 years now with Morag.

I assist with the Jyoti Yoga Teacher Training School using the David Kiel Anatomy Course to lecture and assist the students on their Anatomy journey, tying in the lectures with the Modules. As a refresher for myself, I have also completed the Anatomy Course, so I personally know what the students have to do to attain the certificate.

Sue Turner - Senior Tutor

‘Yoga is a path from the physical to the spiritual and every stage of the journey brings benefits that are quite magical’. I have been qualified as a yoga teacher for over 35 years. Throughout this time, I have taught Hatha Yoga, meditation classes, seminars, workshops and retreats abroad.

I have also done Teacher Trainer in the UK and Australia. I currently teach yoga and meditation classes in the Birmingham area, as well as Corporate Yoga at local businesses, one to one specialist sessions and retreats in Spain.

For me, yoga has always been my constant companion through life from an early age. I believe its philosophy and practice leads to health, happiness and a deeper understanding of life.
